The US Grand Prix takes place on the 19th of October. It takes places at the circuit of the Americas,in Austin Texas. The track is 5.513 km long with 20 turns. The lap record is 1:36.169 set by Charles Leclerc in 2019. The race has 56 laps and is 308.728 km long. There is 2 DRS zones and 2 detection points.

It was first introduced in the 2012 season, which was won by Lewis Hamilton for his final win at Mclaren. It is the second of three grand prixs held in the US, with Miami having already been and Vegas still to come.

Austin is one of three home races for Moneygram HAAS F1 team. HAAS finished 7th last season. However they’ve got an all new line up this season with Esteban Ocon and Rookie Ollie Bearman. They’ve had a mixed start to the season, they’ve often struggled in Qualifying and were the slowest team in Melbourne but they have managed to get 46 points although they still only sit in 9th place at the moment. Ocon’s best finish came in China with a P5 finish after both Ferrari’s were DSQ. Bearman’s best finish was at the dutch grand prix where he went from the pit lane after being DSQ in quali to P6.

My Austin food options are, Saucy BBQ Chicken, Texas toast garlic bread and chocolate peanut butter sheet cake.
