The Mexican Grand Prix takes place on the 26th of October. It takes places at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. The track is 4.304 km long with 17 turns. The lap record is 1:17.774 set by Valtteri Bottas in 2021. The race has 71 laps and is 305.584 km long. There is 3 DRS zones and 2 detection points.
The Mexican Grand Prix has been on and off the calendar since 1962 but has been back on the calendar consistently from 2015 minus the COVID interrupted season of 2020.
Next season’s Cadillac driver Sergio Perez became the first Mexican to stand on the podium on home soil. He achieved this feat twice in 2021 and 2022 both with Redbull Racing. Although he dreamed of winning a race on home soil he didn’t quite manage it his best result was P3. He did however manage to win 5 races in other countries, one with Racing Point and the other 4 with Redbull Racing.
My Mexican food options are, Beef Enchiladas, Chips with Pico de Gallo, Salsa and Dulce De Leche Pastry Pockets.
