The Las Vegas Grand Prix takes place on the 22nd of November. It takes places at the Las Vegas Street Circuit. The track is 6.201 km long with 17 turns. The lap record is 1:34.876 set by Lando Norris in 2024. The race has 50 laps and is 309.958 km long. There is 2 DRS zones and 2 detection points. The main straight is down the Vegas strip.
It was first introduced in the 2023 season, which was won by Max Verstappen and last years was won by George Russell. Last years Vegas GP was the last podium that Lewis Hamilton got for Mercedes. It is the final of the three grand prixs held in the US, with Miami and US having already been. It is the first of a triple header with Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Vegas is one of three home races for Moneygram HAAS F1 team. HAAS finished 7th last season. However they’ve got an all new line up this season with Esteban Ocon and Rookie Ollie Bearman. They’ve had a mixed start to the season, they’ve often struggled in Qualifying and were the slowest team in Melbourne but they have managed to get 70 points and now currently sit 7th in the constructors. Ocon’s best finish came in China with a P5 finish after both Ferrari’s were DSQ. Bearman’s best finish was at the Mexican Grand Prix were he managed to finish 4th, HAAS joint best result ever and best result since Romain Grosjeans 4th place finish in 2018. Bearman has become the first HAAS driver to score points in 4 consecutive races, having finished in the points in every race since Singapore.
