Thailand is the home country of Williams driver Alex Albon. Albon’s F1 debut came in Australia 2019, for Toro Rosso. He drove for Toro Rosso for 12 races in 2019 before replacing Pierre Gasly at Redbull. He had scored points in 5 races while at Toro Rosso, including his first points in Bahrain, in the second race of the season and a best finish of P6 in Germany. Albon stayed at Redbull until the end of the 2020 Season, where he was replaced by Sergio Perez, but stayed as the reserve driver for 2021. During his time at Redbull Albon managed to achieve 2 podiums, at the Tuscan and Bahrain Grandprixs. Albon signed with Williams for the 2022 season, where he’s stayed since.
