The Brazilian Grand Prix takes place on the 9th of October. It takes places at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace (Interlagos) in Sao Paulo. The track is 4.309 km long with 15 turns. The lap record is 1:10.540 set by Valtteri Bottas in 2018. The race has 71 laps and is 305.939km long. There is 2 DRS zones and 2 detection points.
The first Brazilian Grand Prix was in 1973 encouraged by the success of Emerson Fittipaldi. Fittipaldi managed to give the crowd a home win for the first and second Grand Prix. Jose Carlos Pace managed to make it three in a row with his win in 1975.
Rookie Gabriel Bortoleto grew up not too far from the circuit. Last year he managed to win the F2 championship against fellow rookie Isack Hadjar. Although he’s not been in the best car this year, he’s shown his potential. His best finish coming in Hungary with a 6th place finish. He’s managed to fairly consistently beat his far more experienced team mate Nico Hulkenberg.
My Brazilian food options are for main meal, Brazilian-style beef with sweet potato salad, side dish is pastel de palmito and my dessert is Brigadeiro.
